Jason Waller says...

The reputation of the Youth Chorus preceded itself before I'd even stepped foot in the Liverpool Division through two cousins from Walton who infiltrated Manchester's music school.

They kept banging on about "Youth Chorus this, Youth Chorus that," in really whiny scouse accents. But they were right, it was great.

It might have been being part of the dream team tenor section, the times we all shared, or just [causing havoc with] (editor's note - if you want to know what he actualy said you'll have to ask me) with Messrs Simpson and Lacey.

I don't really remember much about the singing, more of the carnage we left in our trail. Didn't we bring home a trombone home from one corps?

Erin and I, unfortunately, won't be able to make the reunion as April is the busiest month of the year, ney decade for us, with both of my parents celebrating their 60th at either end of the month, we've got tickets for the first music festival of the year on the 2nd weekend. And the third is taken up as some other muggings has asked me to DJ at their birthday party.

Hope every one's got older and wiser without growing up "too" much.

You won't believe this

Go here and you will be able to hear us back in the olden days!

http://youthchorus.podbean.com/

In case you are wondering, the reunion will be one Saturday in April 2007 please pass on the news to any former Youth Chorus members and point them in this direction for more info.

So far we have counted over 120 former members.

We are gathering email addresses so we can write to as many people as possible with the confirmed date etc. Please send your details and anyone else's to

youthchorus@hotmail.co.uk

And of course we can do the thing with envelopes and stamps - if you know anyone without email please send us their postal address or phone no.

You can leave messages here by clicking on "comments" - but don't leave personal details that you don't want the wonderful world of web to see.

Comments are checked before they are published so they won't appear instantly.

If you have any photos send them along too and we'll publish them here.

And if you have a blog or myspace send us the link for that.

Here's a couple to be going on with

Hi,I have absolutely no idea what a blogspot is..... but I thought that as this whole reunion thing was my brainwave or should I say brainstorm,I should be among the first to use it!

I am so looking forward to seeing you all and will accept no excuses from anyone for not turning up (bit like the old days!!)

I'm sure you like me have some fantastic memories of times spent in the Youth Chorus..
who could forget
  • Kevin's entertaining epilogues,
  • Julie Forrest's match making attempts,
  • the Blackburn bongos or great weekends away.
I have to try and remember how to conduct!

All you have to do is turn up,meet old friends, have some fun and do a bit of singing.

Till then get on this bloggy spot thing and tell us what's going on with you.

See you all soon,
Love from Margaret
