Hello Margaret, thanks for the invite.

However I'm sorry to say I can't make it. I've got a busy time coming up at the moment as my wife & I are expecting our first child any time now( a little girl so the scans say).

Say hello to everyone for me and I hope it all goes well.

all the best Chris Nicoll

Well, what can I say, I wasn't part of the Youth Chorus for long but listening to some of them songs brought back so many memories.

I am really excited can't wait to catch up with everyone, see how people and their lives have changed as they have grown up (maybe not grown up but certainly got older).

There are 2 very special little girls in my life i would like to introduce you to.

Hi there,

You will not remember me. Petra Darby, now Peverley, from Ashton-in-Makerfield Corps (not anymore though) I'd love to come but I do not drive and hence sadly cannot make it.

But to all those who do remember me....have yourselves a kicking time and a huge big HELLO to Mistress Margret.

Vibes to the tribes....

To: All members of North-Western Divisional Youth Chorus

Hi

There are some things in life that are best left in the past…but, equally, there are some other things that are just too good to forget. And I think that out time spent as part of the North-Western Divisional Youth Chorus is such experience that deserves to be remembered and celebrated. And so, we are organising a reunion for all YC members on

Saturday 21st April 2007,

and I want you to be part of it.

During the day we will get together for coffee, lots of reminiscing, some singing (of course!), and share a meal before a final festival in the evening. We’re hoping to have some special guest including former DYOs.

The venue will be Liverpool Walton SA Hall.At this stage we need you to confirm your interest asap, and then let us know definitely that you will be attending (no excuses!) by Sunday March 18th. (If you need any additional info at this stage please email us at

youth.chorus@hotmail.co.uk,

but we will be sending out more details nearer the time).

In the meantime, as well as this blog, where you can leave your messages and catch up with old friends before April, we've set up a podbean where you can listen to past performances (oh dear!) http://youthchorus.podbean.com

The “reunion committee” has been formed and have regular meetings where little is done apart from recalling past events, retelling billeting stories and lots of laughter – mostly at Kevin Vane’s expense.

One of our former Youth Chorus Sergeants is already working on an ‘appropriate’ epilogue, Glyn is practicing hard at the piano and I am in state of constant panic!

I’m sure it’s going to be a great day and I’m looking forward to meeting up with you all again.

Love,

Margaret xx

Well say something then!
